Due to growth, we are recruiting for a Category Insight Manager to join our Category Team at one of the UK’s most loved brands, Fox’s Biscuits; makers of the Party Ring, Chunkie Cookies, Chocolatey, Fabulously and many more.
This is an exciting time to join Fox’s Biscuits as we are growing and we’ve also recently joined the global confectionery business – Ferrero!
The Category Insight Manager provides category insights to the Fox’s Marketing, category and sales team, identifying opportunities and threats, making recommendations to strengthen the branded offering. They will  work closely with the Marketing team in bringing category driven NPD and new initiatives to the market. They will undertake extensive competitor monitoring and reviews, identifying risks and opportunities to Fox’s portfolio. Maximise value and insight from all continuous data sources by managing suppliers and ensuring that insights are disseminated and used across the commercial team. They will create and manages best-in-class reporting including the production of regular monthly reports and tools for use by Sales, Marketing and Category teams
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar category insight position either with a branded or agency business. They will have excellent analytical skills, being able to translate and communicate date across different business functions. They will have good organisational skills, be able to demonstrate commercial awareness, have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

This is where you come in…
As the Category Insight Manager you will use category insights to shape Fox’s branded NPD and EPD, making recommendations on pack, price and promotion in conjunction with the Marketing team. You will produce monthly reports with added-value commentary and presents insights in internal meetings.
You will also create and maintain market data driven tools for use by the wider commercial team. Along with identifying opportunities and threats for the Fox’s brand, proactively working with Marketing, Category & Sales to address them.
As the Category Insight Manager you will have excellent communication and business partnering skills as you will manage relationships with continuous data agencies ensuring maximum value extracted and data quality maintained. You will also manage ad hoc category projects from brief to output and feed a category view into the budget and 3y plan process.
About you
Relevant category insight experience and / or data agency experience
Experience in an agency or manufacturer environment
Degree or equivalent qualification
Results driven and goal orientated
Highly analytical and comfortable with multiple data sources
Excellent data interrogation skills with expertise in data mining software
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Demonstrates commercial awareness and implications of decisions
A good team player but can also work autonomously and make decisions
Ability to multitask and work across a number of accounts and projects at any one time
Ability to withstand pressure
